Behind every sentence is someone who chose to heal
When I completed my college, a week before joining an internship, through my college mate, a mutual friend, I got to know that Smruthi was offering counselling sessions. At that point in my life, I was facing pressure about what my long-term career was going to be, as it didn’t turn out the way I had planned earlier. The sessions were so helpful. We had around 10 sittings online, and she helped me segregate my tasks into short-term, intermediate, and long-term goals. Our sessions focused on helping me quickly complete my short-term goals. I received guidance and strategies to plan my work and personal life. Our sessions got over by mid-October, and I achieved my short-term goals. Some of the planning still helped me and continues to help me. To mention one example, one of my short-term goals was to use social media for less than 2 hours a day, as I was previously using it for approximately 5 hours. This reduced to 1.5 hours and even 30 minutes a day. For some reason, I uninstalled Instagram in November, initially thinking it would be for 2–3 weeks, and it has been 3 months I'm not used it. Like this, she helped me work on a few things to change habits that contributed to me being a procrastinator. I thank my medical counsellor, Smruthi, and strongly recommend her to you all.
